Story Of The Day.

Sixteenth Day Of June – 2019.

Dark remained in the morning for me as I abandoned,
Sleep to stay and watch the Sun rise and then,
I wished a thousand dreams adored me filled with love.
Nothing unusual, no callers, no visitors on a fathers day.

When bed became uncomfortable ah’ Sun to the west slanted,
Day left me no time and no thoughts beyond my Little Boss came,
She the one I love and in some way of her own loves me,
Night kissed me all around, dinner and tea wonderfully done.

A hundred thousand stars from all corners woke,
The night birds sat on my maples scratching barks,
Oh’ waiting and waiting for my heart to be read,
And none came, nothing even usual happened.

As the last phase of the night packed to leave,
Ah’ I know every door of heavens are open,
My conscience stopped questioning my motives,
What prayer I should say I questioned myself.

Then to heavens I said “O’ God, what I can have,
Or what I cannot have are immaterial in life now,
For the perfection of my love for her I know she deserves,
More than anyone and honor me to grant her my love.”.

Then to me I asked “When will you ever truly sleep?”,
As I saw the victorious rays of light gathering the joy,
Of the passing night and into the hearts of sleeping souls,
Spread that joy to yet another bright and wonderful day.

Story Of The Day.

Fifteenth Day Of June – 2019.

Season of Spring by illegitimate children of winter seduced,
Their mating rituals brought cold unusual at this time of year,
The comforter lived up to its name as my stone built home kept,
The cool left over by the Spring-Winter cross child.

Brunch woke me further as yet another weekend flourished,
Cold never stopped neighbor’s lawn mowers to growl out loud,
My yard loved the sprouts and little wild flowers still blooming,
Eyes spread around and searched, shadows yester times held hard.

Childhood image of my dearest I saw and in mind laid,
Corner stones of a narrative in verses I will write,
As reality from me she hides, my fantasy will assume,
Life of her past, in present for a future that will be real.

Night tickled me to sleep early but an owl mode mind took,
The darker the night became, the louder the poet spoke,
When fantasy movies played on television screen, mind drew,
Strips of images of my darling’s dreams about her prince charming.

Story Of The Day.

Fourteenth Day Of June – 2019.
This Poem Is For You Little Boss*.

The dreamer woke in the glitters of the dream,
Morning eaten away by the day and left me speechless,
So faded away the slowness of a fantastic friday,
Ah’ the day welcomed me well spread out and bright.

Routines done, failed runs as time beat me out of Mosque,
As along the world, I too rolled I found many smiling faces,
Oh’ they all smiled as a gesture of the week ending calm,
My walk and talk only mattered about business as usual.

When I welcomed the evening, Oh’, my eyes were closed,
Yet another dream passed through the mind and left me speechless,
For reasons all my knowledge and experience of my life,
Not yet known I said, “Forget me not O’ dear, my dearest”.

Then with all thoughts and prayers I wished I were loved,
She only comes in dreams that leaves me speechless,
She says nothing, she looks through me into oblivion,
Still, there is no way in mind I can find to unlove her.

Story Of The Day.

Thirteenth Day Of June – 2019.

Billions of rays out of unknown numbers of blasts, sprouted,
And like spring streams galloped all around spreading,
Much needed energy for life to thrive, and for me to see,
Smiles filled with love, ah’ from childhood to adulthood carried.

Failed, Oh’, they all failed, to brighten loveless hearts,
Who all stood stunned in the awe like lifeless statues,
Eyes wide open, mouths ready to speak but no sense,
Came to them to see, to taste, the perfection of the world.

Day like a serpent crawled into the corner of everything,
Church kept on ringing the wedding bells of someone’s success,
Blessing from me to those lucky souls for everlasting love.
Oh’, glad I am when seeing the gladness of others.

Evening wandered around to see happy smiles and gathered,
A little chill left by rains of night that passed in peace,
The coming night yawned up in the East and readied,
Dark horses tied to chariots to whip up the dusts of night.

As my mind smiled to gain from me some much needed rest,
Somewhere in the furthest corner of the sky I saw,
A rising star beating all odds of the dancing night,
That little star represented all hopes of a loving man.

Story Of The Day

Twelfth Day Of June – 2019.

The sun came up far beyond eyesight in the east,
Clouds looked like dragons of a mythical ancient past.
Ah’ even sleep whose love in an instant I always felt,
Abandoned me and I raked memories of my recent past.

When the world woke up, got ready and started working,
Sleep that went whoring around in the night started,
Her seducing dance in through my brains and my veins,
Fantastic fantasies in unknown places, ah’ my eyelids played.

Sun and day passed me by, leaving curse words at my snoring,
I heard not and cared not as when I woke up I felt,
The tears of Nature through the evening she wept,
Birds shaking off the rain, ah’ the sound of life filled my heart.

Night hesitated to enter as the charm of the day to me unknown,
Still played the ballet with the falling rain and whispered,
Verses of love I misunderstood as into the unknown I looked,
And asked, “Ah’ is there a dream I have not seen that matters?”.

“Is there a wonder out there that can surprise me?”,
“Is there a bit of love I have never wished for?”,
Finding answers is no longer an option for the aging,
Living the answers is the reality, ah’ this night brings.
